Fusion Haven story

Last week, I have went for a restaurant to have lunch alone around Sri Petaling. Before this, I have checked from the Internet to find a good place to eat. I checked there is a restaurant called Fusion Haven where they serve Western, Asian and local cuisines as well. I have heard several of time about this place but don't have a chance to try the foods here especially their Mango Salad. The restaurant is open from 12pm till 3pm and 6pm till 11pm.

When I was entered the restaurant, the waiters greet "Welcome" to me. I was surprised when the restaurant was empty and I thought that I was entered the wrong place or wrong time. I confirmed with the staffs there. Thank god! Everything is OK!

As I was sat down, a waiter came and served me with the menu. I browsed the menu and I ordered their famous Fusion Mango Salad, Iced Blended White Coffee and a dessert - Warm Hearts Chocolate & Iced Cream. I didn't know that what I should ordered for my main course so, I asked the waiter to recommend a beef steak for me. He did recommended some steaks but, at the end I ordered Korean Style BBQ Sirloin (hope the name is correct).

The first thing came to me was the drink which was Iced Blended White Coffee (see the pic below). The drink was not bad. Boleh tahan la.....

Then after a few minutes, the waiter came with the Mango Salad (see pic below-sorry no pic for this bcos too excited about the salad...so take from internet) with two forks. At first, I was thinking "Why he wanted to bring the forks as the table that I sat have plenty of them?" Actually, the fork is used to "kopek" the Mango Salad into 4 pieces.

Before I start, the waiter told me how to eat the salad. The salad must eat with the salad and mango on top of the biscuit and eat it all together. I followed what he said. OMG! It was nice! Very very nice! The mangoes very fresh. Got that "Hau Gam" if you followed exactly what the waiter tell you. I was enjoyed the salad.

After that, my Korean Style BBQ Sirloin was served. The waiter asked me "How was the salad?". "It was nice! Is this mango salad created by your chef alone?", I replied. "Yes, it was!", the waiter said. Then, I started with my steak. OMG (again)! The steak was very very nice! The source made the steak very delicious! This IS fusion foods!

After I ate the foods, now come the last meal! The desserts (see the pic below). The desserts has a warm chocolate muffin cake attached with an ice cream below. The waiter also teach ed me again how to eat the desserts. He said must eat with the muffin cake and ice cream together. When I cutted the muffin cake, the chocolate inside the muffin flowing down to the ice cream. And when you eat it, you can feel the warm chocolate and the cold ice cream melting together inside your mouth.

After I have everything, it's time to pay the bill. I forgotten how much the foods is but if I'm not mistaken, I only paid about not more than RM 50 for the meals that I had. I had spend my time nearly 2 hours inside the restaurant.

For my opinion, the foods I will give them 4-star, the drinks I give them 3-star and the desserts I give them 3-star 'cos less variety of dessert. I think the chef should put more variety of dessert on the menu.

Bali Trip - 3rd Day

As usual, morning called that morning. It was a bit late compare to the 2nd day. I woke up and cleaned up myself. I was very tired and sleepy as I went clubbing till late night. But, the plan must go on no matter what.

After we had our breakfast, according to our plan...the 1st stop that we should go was Nusa Dusa beach. Where you can play all the watersports there, e.g.- jet ski, water ski etc. Actually, I wanted to play the water ski. But, the fees there very expensive. So, at the end...we decided to go to turtle island.

At the turtle island, we not only saw the turtle but also the bat, snake, eagle etc. A very interesting place to visit. After that, we went back to Nusa Dua and went to another place. We ready for our lunch for 3rd day at Bedugul Lake Bratan.

Bedugul is a spectacular floating temple and is an absolutely interesting sight. the weacther at the lake is cool, which is a nice break from the mostly hot sun during my trip. There were people who hired a traditional paddle boat or speed boat to go around the lake.

Later on, we moved further up to Mengwi Taman Ayun. Taman Ayun is the largest Royal Family Temple Complex built in 1934 in the village of Mengwi, Badung Regency. The area of this temple is surrounded by moat with some water lilies and lotuses. The place is still used during prayer sessions and important ceremonial events.

Lastly of our 3rd day trip was going to Tanah Lot to see the sunset. Tanah Lot is the most famous place and is a must visit the place when you came here. But unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset as a little rain an hour ago before we reached there. Haiz...very "so heng"....but never mind la...as long as can see how is Tanah Lot looks like. FYI, the sunset at Bali always starts at 6 pm. So, if you wanted to see the sunset make sure have to arrive here before 5 pm.

Bali Trip - 2nd Day

It was 6.30 am. A morning call from the hotel. I woke up and wash up myself and had my breakfast. I only had toast bread with fried mee and coffee.By 7.30 am, we get ready for our second day trip.

On the our second day, the first place we went was the Barong Dance. Barong Dance is an hour long show that representing the fight between good and evil. The costumes and set are elaborate and nice. The trick is to get there early, so that can get front seta and be close enough to see the show.

After that, we went to Kintamani to have our lunch. Kintamani has a second largest active volcano in Bali called Mount Batur. We had a lunch with nice view.

Next stop, we went to Tampaksiring & Tirta Empul temple. Tampaksiring & Tirta Empul is a holy water temple built in 960 AD. The temple is beautiful temple and has holy water fountains for different purposes of purification and blessing. There were people in the fountains doing their purification when I was there. Further inside the temple area, you can see the source of the water - a spring water is bubbling up through the black sand.

After that, we went to Goa Gajah and toured around there for 30 minutes. Tips from me, don't ever go there bcos quite boring.

Later on, we went the place we wanted to go the most - Ubud Market.Ubud Market is a place where you can shop till you drop. We spent and boougt our souvenirs more than an hour. We have our leisure time shopping there.

After that, we had your dinner in a chinese restaurant and went back to our room. The second night, we went to disco to have fun. We drinks and dance. We also meet some pretty girls as well. We spent our time almost till the end.

It was a great night!

Bali Trip - 1st Day

It was 6 am. I'm was waiting my friend drove his car to fetch me up to the KLIA 'cos today, I going to Bali, Indonesia. We had about 6 guys all together going the same trip. Our plane will fly over there at about 11 am and we reached at Denpasar, Bali International Airport at 1 pm. Our tour guide waited us at the entrance door. He introduced his name, Tim to us. After that, he bring us to his van and on the way to Uluwatu.

Uluwatu is a temple where was built perched on a cliff. The whole temple stretches across a large area and it is flanked by the fabulous India Ocean. There, you see many monkeys, mostly mischievous ones, who snatched foods from visitors.

Tim, the tour guide bring us around the temple. We need to wear "sarong" if wear short pants or skirts before they allowed us entered the place. After that, Tim find a long stick to protect us from the monkeys. I saw the ocean at the bottom of the hill. It was very nice! The water was very green blue!

After awhile, we reached back to our van and went for dinner at Jimbaran before we check-in to hotel. Jimbaran is one of the nicest beach there. We reached the restaurant at Jimbaran at about 4 pm. While we waited our dinner served, we walked around the beach bcos we can't resisted the beautiful view there.

About 5 pm our lunch was served. We had a great meals. It was a BBQ Seafood meals. My favourite seafood there was the grill oyster...One thing about their foods is they like to serve their customers with a bucket of rice. And, all the foods are grilled. After we ate all the foods, we ordered coconut drinks. The coconut was very fresh! The most yummy coconut drink that I ever had! I also took sunset pictures from the beach. After we had out time there, it's about time to check-in. Our hotel was located at Kuta, a famous town in Bali. It takes about 1 hour to reach there from Jimbaran.

After we check-in, we took a shower before we toured around the town. The first night when we toured around the town, we began with the ice-cream. After that, we continue our "Journey of Kuta Town". We toured around the place about 30 minutes to 45 minutes. One of our members tried and wanted to go back to their room. But the remained one, wanted to try their pubs there and had beers (my favourite drinks ever!). The first pub we went was a pub called VIP. That, night we were very lucky 'cos it was Bikini Girls Nights. At 11 pm, there were dancers with the bikinies danced from a table to another table - danced in front of us! Of cos, we were very excited especially me (hahaha). We had spend our time at the pub until 1 am then, we decided to go back our room.

Marley & Me

John and Jennmy were young and in love, with a perfect little house and not a care in the world. Then they brought home Marley, a wiggly yellow furball of a puppy - and their life would never be the same. Marley quickly grew into a barreling, ninety-seven-pound steamroller of a Labrador retriever who crashed through screen doors, flung drool guests, stole women's undergarments, devoured couches and fine jewelry, and was expelled from obedience school. Yet Marley's heart was pure, and he remained a steadfast model of love and devotion for a growing family through pregnancy, birth, heartbreak, and joy, right to the inevitable goodbye. - taken from Marley & Me, John Grogan.

P.S - Thank you, Mr. Grogan for writing this great book!
